Richie Rich's of Bollywood : Aamir Declines 60 Crores

Do you know how much money Bollywood stars now demand for each movie? Who are the Richie Rich's of Bollywood? In Bollywood, a Crore has become the new Lakh. Read this.

There was a time when Bollywood super stars like Dilip Kumar, Raj Kapoor and Ashok Kumar used to work on a monthly salary of Rs 200 only. In this salary, they were acting in more than one film for their companies. Time then changed and the actors started signing for individual films. Soon we heard the figure of a few lakhs for a film. Today, the lakh has lost its significance in Bollywood. A crore is just a lakh now! Actors, directors, cinematographers and music directors are now demanding a crore-plus for their work in just one film!!

Can you imagine, Aamir Khan was offered Rs 60 crore for a film, but he declined the offer as he did not like the story of the film!

1. We heard demanding crores of Rupees by Amitabh Bachchan for acting in a movie. However, it took Amitabh Bachchan nearly three decades of hard work before he could demand Rs 2 crore for the film Lal Badshah in 1999.

2. Till recently, Hrithik Roshan was the highest paid actors. Hrithik Roshan has signed a deal with Adlabs for 3 Films for Rs 35 crore. Recently, Akshay Kumar has signed a Rs. 41 crore deal with Venus films which will be directed by Priyadarshan.
